Spell Checking in Outlook Express Without Office

You can spell check with Outlook Express without needing to install Office or Works

You will need access to your existing legal version to copy some files.

1. On a computer with Office installed, go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof
2. Copy the following files (they will easily fit on a floppy disk)

• MSSP2_EN.LEX
• MSSP232.DLL
• CSAPI3T1.DLL
• CTAPI3T2.DLL
• CHAPI3T1.DLL

3. Copy them to the same location on the computer without Office
4. Download the reg file and import into the registry
